Welcome to Atmospheric Energy Corp. (AEC)

Atmospheric Energy Corp. (“AEC”) has been organized to complete development of specific-site design and engineering work, and implement construction of multiple projects worldwide, of an inexpensive renewable electric power generation technology that requires no hydrocarbon fuel and has a zero carbon footprint.  Once the technology development has been completed, an AEC facility will be the most reliable and the least expensive source of electrical energy produced in commercial quantities on a massive scale to date.

An AEC facility will produce inexpensive electrical power 24 hours per day, 365 days per year, and is not dependent on whether the sun shines or the wind blows.  It creates its own wind and continuously harvests the sun’s energy.

The initial 1975 patent that spawned AEC’s technology was developed by Dr. Philip Carlson, a Lockheed Martin physicist working at the top secret Skunk Works.  Dr. Carlson reasoned that the same phenomenon that drives global weather patterns, namely the Hadley Cell Cycle, could be implemented in a controlled manner to generate electricity.  During the late 1990’s, Dr. Carlson’s original work was further advanced in a second and third stage of development funded in part by one of AEC’s founders, Mr. Robert O’Leary.

The focus of the technology development work to date has been to verify that the physical principles of the Hadley Cell Cycle can be incorporated with proven engineering methods into an actual power plant with enough potential energy to permit the generation of commercial quantities of electrical energy at low cost.  We believe that this has been accomplished to enable investors to obtain an exceptional return.  

The AEC technology is a downdraft, arid air technology that is 50% to 75% more efficient than various updraft technologies that have already been experimented with and, in some cases, constructed by others. 

Due to advances in construction capability, the time has come to initiate optimum site-specific detailed engineering design and construction projects to operate an AEC Power Plant. The earlier development work concluded that the cost of electrical energy generated by an AEC facility would be less expensive than alternate forms of clean renewable electric generation, and much more reliable.

Atmospheric Energy Corp (AEC) is dedicated to producing clean, renewable, green energy with one of the most powerful principals of nature, the Hadley Cell Cycle. The AEC Power Plant will be constructed in arid or desert regions of the world, with estimated production of up to 800mw of electricity as low as 3.8 cents per kw per power station. Our engineers have found no other power plant technology or alternative energy source invented to date that has the same reliability and efficiency as the AEC Power Plants.  

An AEC Power Plant integrated and combined with a sea water Reverse Osmosis Desalination Plant can save 20% to 40% of desalinated water cost by using shared infrastructure of both plants and operating the desalination unit utilizing electricity generated by the AEC Power Plant.

For example, a 250MW AEC Power Plant integrated with a 100Mm3/year (100 million cubic meters per year of clean drinking water) Desalination Plant will produce extremely low cost reliable electricity and desalinated water 20% to 40% less expensive than competing desalination technologies.

The self sustaining fuel-free power station of the future produced by AEC is not detrimental to the environment and can produce large-scale electricity commercially which will favorably impact the global warming and energy markets forever.

In order to provide solutions inline with the UN Millennium Development Goals, AEC has also considered the powerful ability to create inexpensive clean water and renewable energy utilizing the Atmospheric Energy Cylindrical Structure.  AEC is fully committed to human progress, renewable energy, and clean drinking water.
